People of the Dominican Republic

Most of the people  of the Dominican Republic have African or mixed British and French ancestry. Most of them live in small villages, but some live in cities.  Most live in regular houses, but some live in thatch-roofed huts.  They wear regular clothing.  They mainly eat bananas, crabs, crayfish, frog legs,  lobsters, sweet potatoes, brown beans, rice, chicken, beef, pork, and goat.  Most of them won't eat hot spicy dishes.  One of their most famous natives is Sammy Sosa, the home run hitter.
